If you have coupons on Square Online, we want to notify you about some changes you'll see on the platform. Starting August 15, 2024, coupon creation and management will move from your Square Online dashboard to Square Marketing, our suite of marketing automation tools.

This change will allow them to manage and edit coupons in one central location, whether they are creating them for email campaigns or for their online websites.

We tell you what will change: 

• Existing Coupons – All coupons created within Square Online will no longer be active as of August 15, 2024. They will need to be recreated as new coupons in Square Marketing. 
• New Coupons – New coupons will need to be created in Square Marketing, rather than the Square Online dashboard.
• Supported Coupon Types : They may offer coupons for a certain amount or percentage off for all items or for a certain category or item level, as well as coupons for free shipping or delivery. 
• Limited coupon usage per customer* – To apply limits to a coupon per customer, you will need to use the “Offer a Coupon” template in Marketing Square, a paid feature.

Creating and managing coupons in Marketing Square is free and does not require a subscription. For enhanced features, like creating custom coupons and sending coupons in Square Marketing emails, upgrade to a paid subscription.

If you have existing coupons, we recommend taking action immediately and recreating those coupons in Marketing Square to minimize disruption to your business. 

If you haven't created coupons with Square Online, you don't need to do anything right now.
