I lost my card reader, do I need to cancel it or what.

I lost my card reader. Do I need to report it and have it canceled or so I just order a new one.

A reader isn't specifically tied to an account, so you don't need to worry about it. You can get a new reader and just plug it in when you're signed into your account.

@VanKalkerFarms has it down - no need to cancel or report the reader lost. You can pick up a new one at a https://squareup.com/retail or order one from your dashboard

or you can order one that will arrive in a week or so.  chip reader here or free swipe reader here
