Right on, @GroveandBaker! If you're using the Chip Card Reader, the Register app will let you know if you need to dip vs. swipe.

@EJ68, the magstripe reader will work with most cards since chip cards also include a magstripe on the back. Keep in mind that chip cards are more secure and you may be held liable in the event of chargeback if you accept a chip card using the magstripe reader. Find more information on our reader options in our Support Center.
