Hi @jaclynsmom
This sounds very strange. The only time a customer is prompted to sign is if a card payment goes through. If it was registered as an accidental cash payment, there wouldn't be a signature screen.
Unfortunately we can't dive into payment or account specifics in the Seller Community, but our CS Team can locate the payment with you to figure out what might've happened.
