This sounds very odd. Just so I can gather some more information, is it effecting a specific item or all items? At what stage of the check out process are you receiving this message? Also what web browser are you using? 

I would recomend clearing the cache on your browser and restarting the program. This might clear any issues with the shopping cart giving you error codes.
