Weebly App of the Week: Interview with Powr.io

POWr have made a number of great apps for our App Center, including the Form Builder app that we've been focusing on this week. We've asked them four interview questions and they gave us some really amazing answers.

1. How does the POWr Zapier integration help Weebly users?

The POWr Form Builder Zapier integration is awesome because it will enable you to automate tedious, manual processes so you can focus your time and energy on more important tasks.

Zapier is an online tool specifically built to automate tasks. You can use it with over 1,000 apps to automate repetitive tasks without coding or relying on developers to build the integration. It works by creating ‘Zaps’  - a Zap is the workflow that connects your apps with Zapier. It takes care of the behind-the-scenes automation so that you can devote your energy to high-priority tasks.

Why it’s great with POWr Form Builder is that we’ve integrated some of these Zaps directly in the plugin so you can easily connect with popular apps. For example, every time you get a form response, you might get an email notification, but how do you collect those responses in one central place and in real time? There’s a Zap for that (in fact, there’s a Zap for almost anything)! Connect your form to Google Sheets with the built-in Zapier integration and all your form responses will automatically be added to the sheet. You no longer need to manually copy and paste information from an email to a spreadsheet, or worry about your spreadsheet being up-to-date because it’s updated in real time!

 

2. Why is automation important?

Automation enables us to be more efficient and better focus our energy and efforts on more important tasks. A funny but good example of automation and efficiency is the classic cartoon, The Jetsons. I remember wishing I could be ready for the day as quickly as they were. Living in an automated future (in space!), they hardly had to lift a finger to prepare for school or work. While this is an exaggerated example, it still illustrates the value in automating processes that steal time from more valuable efforts. Are you manually copying and pasting contacts into your CRM? You can use POWr Form Builder with Zapier to automate that process.

The more efficient we can be with our time, the quicker we can accomplish goals and move towards success.  

3. In what ways can the POWr Zapier integration optimize an online store?

I mentioned earlier that it enables users to automate the process of collecting and saving data. This can be a huge time saver. If you’re collecting contact information, survey results, feedback, etc. you can have all of that data automatically collected and sorted for you in real time (e.g. save responses in Google Sheets; save files submitted through your form in Dropbox or Google Drive). You can also get more control over your customer list by automatically adding contacts to your mail system when they submit a form.

If you’re looking for ways to stay on task and ensure you’re meeting the goals you’ve set for your store, you can have tasks automatically added to your project management system, such as Trello.

4. Can you give a few specific examples of how the POWr Zapier integration could be used?

Let’s say you’ve been conducting an exit survey for your store. Rather than manually collecting, sorting, organizing and setting up the data in a Google Sheet, you can utilize the POWr Form Builder and Zapier integration to automate that process for you! How awesome is that?
If you use MailChimp and have been manually exporting contacts into your CRM, you can save yourself from this tedious task and the inevitable headache that follows by using the POWr Form Builder and Zapier integration to automatically add your contacts for you.

If you use a team messaging platform, like Slack, to maintain open lines of communication, you can utilize the POWr Form Builder and Zapier integration to automatically notify your team whenever a customer submits a form (which is great for keeping on top of feedback for a survey, or for being able to act fast when a new order comes in, for example).

Ultimately, the important thing is to step back, examine your tasks and ask yourself if any of them can be automated. If the answer is yes,  don’t hesitate to make that happen and ensure you have one less menial task on your plate. The The whole point of the POWr Form Builder and Zapier integration is to make automating tasks easy for small businesses, so that they can focus their efforts more efficiently. We want them to be successful and believe that a major part of that is freeing them up to invest their time in more valuable projects.
