USB Cash drawer - square stand/IPAd connectivity problems

Recently purchased a new square stand, chipless reader, USB cash drawer and IPAD all directly from Square. Set up went well and system worked fine for a few days. Now the USB cash drawer intermttently disconnects itself and won't open.  The only way we know this is when we enter the cash collected at the end of a sale, the drawer does not open.  In settings, the system cannot find a cash drawer at all when this happens.  The only way to reconnect the drawer is to disconnect and reconnect the power to the cash drawer. Then the screen shows the cash drawer connecting itself and it will then open for the next sale and or selecting NO SALE/Open Cash drawer.

This is happening more and more as we use the system more. The IPAD is removed from the stand each night, shut down and locked up in a cabinet for security purposes. The stand and cash drawer remain where they are. In the morning, the IPAD is turned on, secured in the stand and the square APP is selected. At that time,  the messages that the stand, chip reader and cash drawer are connecting, then connected.  The system works fine until it doesn't!  Please advise troubleshooting suggestions.
