Just looking to confirm... the 'Food & Drink' Square Stand POS kit doesn't need a router, correct?
Before ordering a POS kit I'd just like to confirm what I'm seeing from the specifications.
Looking at https://squareup.com/shop/hardware/us/en/products/ipad-air-wifi-pos-kit-food the current kit includes a USB printer. The USB printer is connected to the Square USB hub that ties the stand, printer, and cash drawer together. With that kit out-of-the-box a wired router isn't needed, correct?
The environment will be an indoor farmers market that provides electricity but no wi-fi. For connectivity I'll be using a mi-fi adapter with the iPad connected to the mi-fi adapter as a wi-fi device. If/when a second device will be used the idea is to just connect it over wi-fi to the mi-fi adapter so that checkout devices can be added/removed as needed. At this time I don't forsee ever trying to do something like using one printer for multiple devices nor ever having a need for a kitchen printer.
I ask because that POS kit only shows up when answering "Yes" to the question of whether you'll be using a router (https://squareup.com/shop/hardware/us/en/pos-kits/food) but the actual specifications of the hardware in the kit doesn't seem to actually need a router.
Thanks 🙂
