Is square considered a wire transfer?

Is a Square transaction considered a wire transfer? I am asked for a routing number to set up my Square account and I need to be sure to give the correct routing number because there are different routing numbers for wire transfers. Thx!

Hi @chrisschafer_ar - welcome to the community and thanks for making your first post.

Square can process credit card transactions for you. We require a bank account in order to deposit your funds as well as debit funds should you issue a refund or receive a chargeback. We don't use wire transfers to deposit funds to your account.

Hi @railone - Unfortunately, you are unable to accept wire transfers via Square as we only process card payments as well as Square-issued gift cards. Other tender entered through Square is for tracking purposes only.
