Can I accept half payment upfront and accept the second half later with tax?
My business is a custom clothing boutique. How I'd like to take payment is half when the order is placed (to cover my costs) then take the second half of payment plus tax when the order is recieved (4-6 weeks later). Is this possible with square?

Hi @UncommonMan -
It is possible to accept more than one payment from your customer. This will need to be completed as two separate transactions. It may be a good idea to have a written agreement for this sale since you will be completing the transaction in two parts.
I hope this helps, please let me know if you have other questions about processing these payments.

I do this quite often, splitting payments in 2 or 4 to help students make installment payments but I agree with the previous answer...it is important to write a sales agreement so everyone is on the same page when it comes to how much and when they will pay.
