Cash Transactions. How do I split out taxes and tips from a cash transaction?

I want to use square for tracking all of my income, sales tax and tips.  When I record a check or cash it tells me to enter the total amount and it is not split out for record keeping.

Hey @NailsByAnna, welcome to the seller community and thanks for bringing this up!

When it comes to reviewing taxes collected, you can do so by heading over to the online Square Dashboard > Sales Summary.

As you create your taxes for your payments in the Taxes tab, you'll want to consider if you want to "Add Tax to Item Price" or "Include Tax in Item Price".

For more information on tax settings, have a look at this article: Create and Manage Your Tax Settings.

Hope this helps get you where you need to be! Please don't hesitate to let me know if I'm missing the mark or any questions remain. 🙂
