Categories published but not showing on Square Online Store?

I just spent time creating all my categories and added items to each category then Preview and everything looks perfect. When I published and went to look, no categories show either on phone or on laptop. Because Weebly categories don't sync to Square, I also set up the same categories in Square. Can someone help me, please?

I had a Square Online Store specialist look into this issue for you. They said based on what they could find, it looks like the categories have in fact been successfully added to your site.

 

Have you resolved this issue since posting in the Seller Community?

 

If you still see an issue with categories on your end, please reply with a screenshot of what you're seeing so I can look into this further.

I came with a workaround but it’s not exactly what I wanted. The categories should be showing at top left of home page instead of customers having to scroll down to see them. 

Now this morning all I am getting are 404 error messages after trying to point my old web address to the new one! My customers are complaining. I noticed your server is down. Can you call me? [Personal Information Redacted]

The 404 message no longer showed after the system outage was resolved. During the breakdown of the system my URL was replaced by the Square free default URL; no wonder I was getting “whoops”!

Also, Weebly support tech was very helpful with the matter of setting categories on the home page. I can help further if needed.

I partially fixed deleting the category and do it again. It is on the horizontal menu on top.

I am having a similar issue. 

 

I have created a new category and added my items. Linked it to the main navigation menu and nothing shows as linked. 

 

I then tried to link an existing category and it worked just fine. 

 

Finally, I deleted the category ad re-created it...still dead...

 

I need help

@MLusso So is your issue only happening when you try to create a new category from the Weebly Dashboard?

Honestly, m not sure what is going on...

 

categories created and added to the appropriate Navi bar and then nothing shows up...

Hmm ok @MLusso. Can you try these troubleshooting steps for your browser to see if they help in any way? If the categories still aren't showing up, can you go ahead and give our team a call? Seems like a bigger issue that they'll need to take a look at with you.

hello-

 

hhaving this issue with the categories. Went through the dashboard, added 4 categories. Added items into categories & saved. Only 3 categories are showing on my online store under the 'shop all' tab. However, once you click the 'shop all' tab, & the 'shop all' page pulls up, only then do all my categories show up. 

 

I would like all 4 (instead of only 3) categories to drop down when a customer hovers over the 'shop all' tab. can someone help?

I'm having the same issue with Categories! I've deleted and readded and nothing seems to work, now my categories don't show up at all! So frustrating.

Hey @autstroloigy, I am sorry you are having issues with categories not showing as well! 

 

Square Categories do not sync over for the point of sale, however, categories can be imported one time from your Square POS to Square Online to make the initial setup much easier. If you are still having issues please reach out to support at 1-855-700-6000 / squ.re/contactsqsupport .

How does the one time transfer of categories work @MayaP? I have the same categories online that I manually created but would I would like is the 4,000 items in the pos to go to the same categories online. Will that work? Will it make new categories with the same names or will it overwrite the categories with the same names? As stated I just don't want to have to manually enter a category for each item because that would take forever. Thank you for your help.
