My problem is that I cannot run goverment issued credit cards and some state. We called the card holders bank and they said we were registered with square as "miscellaneous", is there anyway to correct this to lodging/ hotel?
You need to contact them directly either by phone or email to get your merchant code changed. That was an item you chose during your account set up.
