How do I replace or delete a signature

So rookie mistake. Was in a hurry and signed an X as a customer signature... The next time they tried to pay for an item it would not accept their signature... How do I remedy this?

so not exactly sure what you were saying, but Square does not keep a signature on file to compare to previous signatures on Square devices.

Hello @TCF_Kelly!

 

It sounds like your customer's card might have been declined when they tried to pay you that second time. Square isn't informed of the reason a card is declined but your customer can contact their bank/card issuer for more information. You can also confirm declined payments from the Transaction Status report, available on your Square Dashboard

 

Also keep in mind there isn't a way to edit a transaction after it has been completed. So, in this case, if your customer wanted to put in a clearer signature you'd have to refund the payment and process it again.
