I'm trying to switch to Square invoicing from Quickbooks and having a hard time setting up my invoices. I'm a therapist so I need line items with no cost associated with them such as dianosis codes and date of birth so client's can use the invoice to submit to their insurance companies for remibursement. Any help greatly appreciated!

You can create a variable priced item with Point of Sale, but, with Square Invoices, you'll need to assign a price to it before it can be sent. For now, you might consider creating an item specifically for the appointment, then you can include additional information/codes within the item description as needed.

Does this help get you closer to a solution? To be sure I'm on the same page—are the invoices that you're looking to create actually used to collect payments, or is their purpose simply to serve as a statement for the insurance company?
