How to setup Web Design Services with Square

Hey there, I currently have a web design and marketing company. I have a team of sales rep that gets paid soley on commission based on different tiers. I'm thinking about switching to Square for payroll and payment processing but I have a few questions. My main website is WooCommerce and I currently checkout customers through there. 

 

  1. How can I set it up where the commission for the sale will track from WooCommerce to square. So if a client checks out on my website with the square WordPress plugin, how can it track which sales rep the commission is going to.
  2. Is there a way for the sales rep to create maybe a custom square link or create an invoice that they can send to the customer?

HI, a quick Google search for Commissions with Wordpress results indicate a Commission Plugin on Wordpress.  You can also ask these questions on the Wordpress Community Board.

Hi there, thanks for the reply. My issue isn't finding a commission plugin. The issue is being able to track the commission through the square from WooCommerce. For example, if John, a sales rep, processes an order through WooCommerce and the customer pays through Square, how can I get Johns's commission to track through his Square account as well. Because we work remotely, we don't have a stand-alone location to use the Square POS app. Also, it seems as if only I can send an online checkout link, my sales reps don't have this ability when they sign into squareup.com.

HI, it sounds like you need to create Team Management and Custom Permission Sets for the one Square account.  There is no way to link Square accounts.

Ahh so basically Team Management should solve all my issues correct? I looked through some of the things Team Management allows me to provide my team but I have just a few questions. I'm going to list out the things I need my Sales Reps to be able to do and please tell me which is possible with the Team Management Upgrade:

 

Orders:

  1. Team Members should be able to create new customers and add them to the system. 
  2. Team Members should be able to create invoices and send them to customers to pay. Either by directly sending or sending the checkout link.
  3. Should be able to do this from their own computers or phones. 

Also, thank you so much for your quick responses, I'm on a time crunch and I need to get this set up as quickly as possible.

HI, the Square platform is not able to Create Customers added to system.  Best advice is sign up for the Free Team Management and see if it would work.  

 

Maybe for "Locations" you could add each Team Member as a Location?
