KDS

I am using Square point of sale for a drive-thru coffee shop.  I decided to try Square's KDS  as an alternative to using the paper ticket orders. I have everything set up...an ipad with KDS installed.  How do I get our orders from Square POS to go to the KDS?  I made sure all of the settings are correct according to the Square KDS guide.   I think it has something to do with the way we are placing orders.  They are taken and then paid for at the same window.  Do they need to be open tickets?  Please help! 😊

You can decide whether orders from your POS devices will be sent to your KDS. To enable POS orders:

  1. Open Square for Restaurants.

  2. Tap the three horizontal lines to open the launchpad.

  3. Tap the Settings gear icon.

  4. Tap Orders.

  5. To enable, toggle ON View Point of Sale Orders to have orders placed on your POS sent to your Square KDS device.

To disable, toggle OFF View Point of Sale Orders.
