Anyone using the QR for a sit-down full service restaurants?

Our dilemma - QR codes for used for half of the dining room. If Table 1 is using the QR to order, it comes in as normal. But, it doesn't show us that Table 1 is still occupied by the patron on our table chart (using Restaurant square POS). So essentially, table 1 has paid and 'ate and left' in our system.. but really, they just ordered ahead to dine-in instead of using our waitress to order.

Anyone experienced this issue? Why doesn't Square tie in seating arrangement to the QR codes so we dont double-seat a customer at a table thats still occupied by the QR-orderers...
