I am from USA and that is where my account was created. I am in Italy right now but want to process a payment from the USA, but it will not allow. Is this possible? I am not trying to process a foreign payment.
no, you won't be able to as the contracts Square has with the credit card companies doesn't allow processing cards outside of the physical area that the Square account was created in. The Square app uses GPS to determine if the sale can process.
