I am new to Square. I have an ice cream shop and we offer preprinted paper gift cards. How do I set up Square to accept and sell them? We are not currently offering a plastic gift card option.
you would set up a nontaxable item called Gift certificate or whatever you like. you will need to keep track of these in a book outside of square. when redeeming the gift certificate you can choose other gift certificates. you wiil need to update their remaining balance on their gift certificate and in your book.
