Is there a way to set temporary price?

Hello. Is there a way to set a temporary price for all items without losing all of the currently saved prices? My company does $5 dollar book fairs. During this event we sell all books that are around $5 ($4.99-$8.99 books) for one price. Currently I am using a variable discount, but it really slows down the check out process. Is there another way around this? I love square and am grateful for all it does, I just wish it would allow us to change prices manually in check out. Thank you.

I went to look for updates on this request, and there isn't anything that I can share out right now. For the time being, what you're doing with applying a discount is the best workaround. We'll circle back with any other developments as they become available: I am trying to place items on sale.
