Just switched from Square on iPad to a Square register. On the iPad, when I create an item during checkout it is added instantly to the sales cart. I cannot do the same on the Square register, I have to create the new item then search for it in the inventory to add it to a current sale. Does anyone know if there is a workaround for this? Highly frustrating!

Just saw some similar posts and looks like it is a feature sorely needed on the register. I may be switching back to the iPad because of this problem. Bummer.

Thanks for sharing your feedback with us, @Velvetg 🙏 It helps out our Product Team a lot when they make improvements.

With that said, currently this is a limitation, but I totally understand how this may slow down Checkout with the Square Register. I've tagged your post as a Feature Request, in an effort to make all our products function in the same way. I'll update this tread when I know more!
