Downloaded sitemap is sitemap.xml.html ?

Hi Forum,

I get an error message from google: Your Sitemap appears to be an HTML page. Please use a supported sitemap format instead.

When I download the file to my desktop I get 'sitemap.xml.html' and it should read 'sitemap.xml'

Webhost is I-Page and file view indicates 'sitemap.xml'

Any ideas ?
