How to make my site accessible without "www." at start of it

Hi,

I'm trying to make my site www.vivienneoconnor.com accessible by typing vivienneoconnor.com into search bars.

Whenever I type vivienneoconnor.com into search engines I get an error message saying "site can't be reached", "vivienneoconnor.com's server DNS address could not be found".

I've tried to resolve this problem by changing my preferred domain to vivienneoconnor.com using the Google Webmasters Tool but this has not helped.

Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks

Vivienne,

My domain is accessible with and without the .www

From your Weebly Dashboard, check your domain DNS records -

Under Domains - at the far right of your domain name are three dots ...

Click the dots and click manage.

Under DNS records you should see your A Records

My top 3 rows are:

Type                    Host                      Points to

A Record             *                            199----------

A Record             @                          199----------

A Record            www                       199----------

Click edit if you need to add A Record(s).

Hopefully this will work for you.

@Anne is correct, @Vivienne - it looks like you're missing the root A record for your domain name. Since your domain isn't registered here you'll need to do this at your Registrar. For reference, here's our guide on setting up DNS records for your domain:
