Website Videos

I'm about to start a video project for my website - I plan on putting the videos on Youtube and then embedding a link to each on the website. Before I get started, one thing I am wondering about (among many others!) is file format for the videos -- any formats that are recommended for Weebly and easier to work with, or more accessible for viewers on the website?

Not sure if this question belongs in SEO or not, please feel free to move it if more appropriate elsewhere. Thanks in advance to all who respond.

Thanks for posting, @GMG. With our HD Video element preferred formats are .mp4 and .mov. If you have a YouTube account you can also use our YouTube element with videos you've uploaded there as well. That also has the added benefit of gaining extra viewers are find it directly through YouTube.
