Website cant be found

I have recently built a website for my school - baywestps.vic.edu.au. Published it through Weebly and now when trying to access it (https://www.baywestps.vic.edu.au) (https://baywestps.vic.edu.au works)

it comes up with a 404 error. When i try it a few times it works and comes up as 'secure', but my Google link now comes up as invalid. I have tried a 301 redirect but am unsure of the end extension for my old website (which is now gone) so not sure how to redirect.

I've fetched as google, and Weebly support has advised i tell google to remove www from my search results (with no direction on how to do this).

So far ive gone through Weebly support, waited 24 hours for a poor response and am no further down the line. All i want is for my website to actually work. Any help would be appreciated.

I have asked Google to index my site - it says indexing requested, is it a case of waiting for this to take place?

Are the Google links coming up from key words or from you typing in the URL?

Since you are using a subdomain of vic.edu.au as your site address, we don't automatically forward to the same address with "www" in front (this would basically be a sub-subdomain). What you'll want to do is have the person who manages DNS records for vic.edu.au set up a forward from www.baywestps.vic.edu.au  to baywestps.vic.edu.au, or set up a CNAME for that which loads the non-www version. This should make it so old links cached by Google will forward to the proper address.
