My website is a slow build, and thats just how I like it. It will be full of content later. It is a football/soccer website about my team Sheffield United and we report news and match reports from the games played. From listening to my users they want a message board so that supporters can communicate with one-another.
This is something I have wanted from day one also. I had built a website using weebly a few years ago and as part of the free apps, a forum could be added in.This feature sadly no longer exists and I cannot find anything similar in the current apps selection.
My only other options is to create a message board/forum using ProBoards (or other websites like that) - and this leaves me with two options. I could simply create a link and the board takes you away from my website or using the magic of HTML, I could intigrate this into a page on my website so that the brower sits within a browser and thus not taking visitors away from my website. Unless anyone can recommend an app that can work as a forum.
I am seeking your help as HTML is beyond me. I have tried searching google and found nothing, so if anyone can help me with HTML code, I would be very grateful indeed?
There a couple solutions that don't require coding that I can think of. One is the Muut app in our App Center:
That's a forum service with can be easily added to a site by just dragging the element to a page of your site.
The other option is to have the forum hosted somewhere else, but then just link to it from your navigation using the external option on the Pages tab. Integrating a forum onto a page of your site can be pretty complicated when it comes to logging in, and would take a lot of time to get working.
I've read other peoples comments regarding Muut and they don't look good - and this seems to be the only option within Weebly. Plus you have to subscribe to muut and at the moment I am making my website free of subscription for me, until I can improve traffic.
I will eventually sign up to Premium on Weebly but right now is all about the audience and a forum forms part of that. There is also the social media side which I am building up day by day but this is a matter of Rome wasn't built in a day!
Can you not re-introduce the forums on the apps already in the builder?
I don't believe having our own forums element is on the road map right now, although I know a few people have asked for it. The old element we used to have was more or less like the Muut app in that it worked with the same service, so it wouldn't have saved you any money.
