I noticed that this is a popular request but I have yet to find the answer. The Slideshow feature/widget is great but there is a massive white space above and below it. I tried reducing the padding but it is not enough. I have searched online and it seems to be an ongoing problem.
Ideally, I would also like to reduce the padding on sides as well.
Is there an easy fix for this? You can see the banner here at my site - http://www.phili.co.uk
It looks like the aspect ratio for the element was set to 4:3, when 16:9 is more appropriate for the images you're using. If you check your site in the editor @pip, you'll see that it looks much better with that option used (on the element options popup click "advanced" then aspect ratio).
Thanks a lot for your reply.
I did originally have it at 16:9 aspect ratio but I changed it to 4:3 Auto thinking that would work. It is now back at 16:9 but still has big white gaps above and below the slideshow element. I read online that there are ways to get rid of it, like changing the CSS but this is going towards weird coding territory which I am willing to try if I can find an easy step-by-step guide.
Any help appreciated. Thanks.
Hi - I have the same problem - the height of the slideshow and the padding.
Can you tell me how to adjust the aspect - I'm not sure where to find it
Click on the element in the editor, then scroll down on the options popup and choose "Advanced". You should see the aspect ratio option there.
