I own a salon when I process credit cards at work my square reader buffers for 30 minutes and sometimes the transactions failed, why?

@healthyhair, it sounds as if you have a poor wifi connection. Can you check your signal strength and try to improve it?

Yeah, that definitely isn't right. Should be like 3-5 seconds per transaction and we do hundreds a day that way. As Ron said check your internet signal strength as a good starting point.
