Square reader error: reader perminently damaged

So after only a couple of days of receving my square stand bundle the reader has come up with an error 4452 and perminently damaged

 

its said to come here and get it replaced, so ive looked and looked and dont know the next step

 

i bought it off amazon and dont even know where to return it

 

anyhelp would be apprecited

 

is it normal for this to happen ? i havent even used it yet

You could try getting back in touch with the Amazon seller and let them know you received a faulty unit if you'd like to return it to the original seller, or alternatively you can find instructions on replacing your reader via Square here.

I had the same problem.  I contacted Square via their Warranty section on the website, they sent me out a new one straight away and I have just set it up and works a treat.  Then you just need to send them the old one back in reply paid package.  Was so simple.
