Removing the Navigation Bar on Birdseye Theme?

[ Edited ]

Trying to remove the nav bar on the Birdseye theme, so it doesn't appear above the header when you begin to scroll down. I don't need the nav bar, since I created my own nav on the website here:

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Removing the Navigation Bar on Birdseye Theme?

You can do it via some html/css coding.

It is a very nice website.  Very nicely laid out and visually appealing.

You may want to consider floating back to top button from the app center.  One of them is free and another costs few bucks.

Thanks! I just added the floating back to top button – very nice. Much appreciation for the suggestion.

I know that I can use code to remove the nav bar in Birdseye, but I'm wondering what the code is, and how to change it without breaking the theme...

Well make google your best friend (even search the forum).  Or hire some one to do it for you or stay put or take chance.

Hi khanie07,

Add this code to Settings > SEO > Header code and publish and check on the live site, it will fix your issue.

<style>

body.affix .birdseye-header {

display: none !important;

}

</style>

Hey this is great been searching these forums and google for past 2 days and this code does in fact hide my header navigation!

ONLY THING it leaves a blank white space where it used to be... Smiley Sad

Can anyone help me solve this? I noticed a few people have the same problem none have found a solution,

EDIT: SOLVED

<style>
.birdseye-header { display:none; }
</style>
<header style="position: relative; top: -60px;">

CHANGE 60 depending on height, 60 was right for my theme

Thankyou,
Jordan.

Re: Removing the Navigation Bar on Birdseye Theme?

Hi!

The solution was much more simple on my side...

I am not a programmer so it might not be a standard solution but it seems fine.

/* Fixed Nav */
body.page-has-banner.affix .birdseye-header,
body.splash-page.affix .birdseye-header {
position: fixed;
top: 0;
background: rgba(35, 35, 35, 0.95);  <--------    I changed it to:   background: none;    <-------and it worked.
padding: 10px 30px;

Hoping it might help... I see that the white navigation bar is still on your website...
