Having connection issues with the wireless Bluetooth reader on Chromebook

The bluetooth wireless reader attempts to connect to the chromebook but fails, not sure if it is compatible or not. I connected the reader to my Samsung S4 Active and it connected immediately both devices have the latest version of square. Anyone have any ideas?

the contactless reader is not able to be used with a Chromebook, but you can use the magnetic swiper.  https://squareup.com/townsquare/new-ways-to-take-payments-apple
