The $100 dollar tap limit does include the sales tax, but this limit is only for Interac debit cards! The limit for credit cards is $50,000 for tap and chip transactions on this reader.
We are working to bring chip and PIN debit transactions to all of our Canadian sellers, but I don't have a timeline I can share right now.
