Is there a maximum credit card expiration date that is accepted?

I am currently trying to enter a client's credit card information manually (that is the only option in this situation).

The credit card has an expiration date sometime in 2030.

Since the format is MM/YY, I have entered the month,

but once I try to enter the the 3 for the year, the date turns red and refuses to enter the 3.

I have tried to enter a 1 instead of a 3 and it works.

Does anyone know if there is a maximum credit card expiration date that is accepted?

Is there a way to change that?

I would say that Square will not take that because I don't believe there are any cards that are being issued that are good for 13+ years currently.  I assume Square has that field set to only accept dates in the 1x or 2x format.  But I'm not 100% on this.  @Sean you have any info on this?

Hi @squaresdp & @VanKalkerFarms. This is a great question! I've never run across this before, as most cards expiring every two to three years. Would you mind sharing the brand of this card? Is this payment coming from a pretty trusted customer? Thanks!
