While our mag-stripe is free, our chip card readers do have a price associated with them. Because of the technology included in the chip readers, we are unable to offer them at no cost. 

Each of our chip readers includes EMV technology that helps make everyone of your transactions much more secure than transactions processed using mag-stripe. The chip on your card and the EMV technology in the reader are tiny computers that allow the costumers information to be validated in real time which helps protect you (and your customers) from fraudulent and counterfeit transactions.
