We are a family run sole proprietor business. We employ two of our children, one who is under 18 and one who is under 21. According to the IRS website, there are some exemptions to Medicare, SS, and FUTA taxes for children employed by parents. How do we account for this in our square payroll setup?

Hello @Amerikan! I can provide some guidance on this.
If your employees/children are excluded from state unemployment insurance (UI) tax requirements, they should not be counted in determining your liability for taxes, and payments for those services are generally not included on your quarterly UI tax filings.
However, our current system is set up to include all employees in UI tax computations. Therefore, we don’t currently have the ability to exclude specific employees from this tax.
I know this probably isn't what you were hoping for, but it is a current limitation. I will make sure to pass this feature request along to our product team.
