Cash drawer going back to zero

Our attendent ends the drawer the night before when they close with the amount in the drawer. The next morning when we start the drawer it show all zeros, even in the balance. What are we doing wrong?

The drawer starting balance will not reflect the night before.  You can set the starting balance in the settings.  Menu / settings / Cash Management / Default Starting Cash. Enter the amount.

 

If you leave it at zero then the opener can count the drawer and enter the starting amount.  We always have the opener count the drawer.  This verifies it is correct and there are no errors.
