Hi, friend!

I have started a new business, A Hint Of Southern. I am 17 years old & I have all of the paperwork with the state and county...I have a fully legal business all in my name. It is a boutique, so I have to be able to accept credit & debit cards.

I also have a bank account, & my mother is the adult on the account. If I setup the square account with my mother's information would the income be shown to the government as her income? Since the business is in my name, it will be my income that I need to file under my name not my mother's.

Could you help me with this?

You can open the Square Point of Sale account with your mother, we need a SSN to open the account. Once the account is open, you can edit your taxpayer information to the tax ID for your business from your Dashboard.
