The Dashboard is seperate from the app and opens in a browser.  This is for security that you must log in, Otherwise anyone using the app could gain access to your Dashboard depending on how you have your employees access the app.  

When using the Dashboard you will be auto logged out after no-activity for a period of time.  Again, for security.
