My 1000 free process didn't go thru with my code

I used a code from a business partner to get each of us 1000 free process. Did didnt go thru. How do i fix this

Sorry for the confusion with your referral code. To be sure we're on the same page: with the referral program—you should be seeing that Square is automatically crediting your balance for the transaction fee with your next deposit. For more details, have a look here: Use Your Free Processing.

I just signed up a referral and he successfully signed up and the next purchase I received I did not get the discount which is one of the rewards I'm supposed to get no processing fee for the next $1000 but it did not show up
