My chip reader said to remove chip card but there are no card in the chip rader

App said to “remove chip card” but there was no card in the chip reader.  And I can only use the manual entry option only.  How do I fix this?

Are you able to accept tap payments? Also have you tried a hard reset by holding down the power button for 20 seconds and having the reader cycle through the green, yellow, and red lights?

Tapping isn’t working either.  And yes, I have tried everything from hard shutdown to delete and reinstall the app and turn off the swipper by holding the buttton down for 20 sec as suggested by the website.  I’m waiting for the tech support to answer my email.

It sounds like this reader is going to require a warranty claim @Freshfoodxp. It sounds like you've gone through all of the troubleshooting steps and this definitely isn't a normal error for this reader.
