I would like to be able to run giveaways on my blog and capture the emails submitted, rather than having to pay huge amounts of money to some outside source to run the giveaway for me. How about you make it possible to capture emails on blog posts?

I would like a way to create an automated follow up letter that is delivered 3 weeks after an online purchase. This would check on how the customer is enjoying their urchase, ask for a review and give them a link to do so and also to make other product recommendations based on their purchases.

I really need the Blog element that is found in Promote® to be available in the standard Sites tool. We use blog pages to post company news. Typically, one would want to highlight the latest news or blog entries on the home page of the website. This is where the blog element is needed. Drag it onto the page and then give us some control over how it displays the headline, description, accompanying photo, and read more link.
Most websites do this by making the news/blog summaries into a form of carousel that just rotates the stories.

I'm wondering if you'd consider allowing Promote users to merge contact information in the body of emails. I'm surprised that feature doesn't exist and it might mean I have to try MailChimp for the interim.
Basically, I'm thinking that when someone uploads their .csv file with contacts and email addresses etc, there could be extra fields, which could then be inserted into the email.
It just seems like I'm missing something - there should be a way of making an email dynamic and tailored to the recipient?

I have multiple weebly websites for several years. I am now starting a new business where I'll be selling physical products.
I don't even sell anything yet and I find it extremely OVERPRICED to use some of these essential features to help my business grow. Not only do I have to get the business plan for almost $300 a year, but another $300 just to send customers a thank you email.
I also really want the abandon cart option but just to add that option I have to go to the performance plan which is another $300 a year.
They should really have a STARTER business plan. ALLOW US TO GROW. We can't grow with these prices, you'll make us go out of business before we even begin!! I'd rather pay a sales % for all my sales to use these features until I am making enough money to pay for these crazy plans...
Help us grow so we can pay you more money for all these features. We need these tools to be successful but new businesses can't afford them. I'd love to even have a 1 month trial for some of these features so I can see if it's even worth it for me...I will probably end up trying it for 30 days and then cancelling it, but would really love a cheaper option until I am making great sales so I can afford these plans.
I really just want the smart groups, I don't want any of those other features : /
I really don't want to migrate to shopify or squarespace over this...
It would be great if Weebly offered links from the Promote platform to the Sites platform so that when a Weebly Promote user sends out an email campaign it can be easily published on a Weebly site via a URL. The only way I've been able to do this so far is by capturing a screen shot of my email campaign, transferring it to PDF and then linking the PDF as a file to my site. There's got to be an easier and better way to do this and it would be much appreciated if Weebly could resolve this matter soon. Thanks.

Hello, I am a promote subscriber that needs to use it on mobile devices and can't. There needs to be either a separate app or a feature you can use promote on your iPad and iPhone. I need to be able to design emails on both devices but mainly an iPad and it would be used a lot more if this was available to do.
Undeliverable emails and contacts management needs to be more intuitive. I see that this is already mentioned in other comments but couldn't hurt to reemphasize. Also would be lovely to export a list for printing, etc. of contacts and their statuses.
*All of these issues have been brought up in chat sessions and have often been escalated to the "development team". We've been urged several times to post here in the Vote Community, so if any of you are experiencing the following issues, or they detract from your ability to effectively use Promote, please, please please give this FIX PROMOTE post all your votes!
We're the owners and builders of monkey-snacks.com. We have been with Weebly since 2013 and have been waiting this entire time for Weebly to offer an in-house email program. Apparently Promote rolled out in the middle of March, which was right on time for our unsolicited "free sample" form to be attacked with over 7,000 sign-ups! Check more of this lovely mess out here at our snack blog.
We're writing this vote post instead of crafting granola, writing blog posts, improving our Weebly website and/or making sales through Promote email. :/
As of today we have 9,903 sign-ups. Four weeks ago we had less than 100 and were just using gmail.
So Weebly is right on time with Promote, but there are many simple contact management features that aren't available and have literally put our email efforts to a screaching halt even though we have upgraded and paid for Pro.
Issues that make Promote useless to us:
1. As noted by others, Promote only allows 25 Contacts per page to be viewed both inside of Contacts, within Groups and in Sent dashboards
PROBLEM: There are only toggle arrows < and > to move through these pages in chronological order ONE PAGE AT A TIME, with the only option to move one page forward or one page back. Do the math and we have to scroll through 395+ individual 1-25 pages of Contacts just to get back to our very first sign-ups.
PROBLEM: There are no page number options to click on so I can get to earlier contacts FAST
Even this vote community has page numbers you can go through to skip to earlier posts and it's only 18 pages long at the moment! Not lol.
PROBLEM: Unless this is fixed ASAP, we have no reasonable way of managing Contacts in Promote so we can actually send emails out. With our list we already would have maxed out our 20 email limit but are currently totally STUCK, unable to organize Contacts in a manner we can send Welcome Emails to double opt-ins out.
SOLUTION: Can Weebly tech get this issue fixed quick so we can at least try to manually manage and use Promote?
Even with the other issues that follow, at least we could start at the beginning of
our own CSV lists and work to the present, matching them up with green light Contacts. 395 pages later...EVERY TIME we go into or reload Promote. :/
It's like starting all over every time we log in.There IS a toggle switch at the Top of Contacts, to put them in order of import. Neat. We still have to start all over again because people opt-in on their own time and Weebly doesn't seem to have a way to see when Contacts clicked to opt-in from their emai, only the initial date they signed up from our Weebly forms (which we do NOT consider double opt-in).
To check for new double opt-ins it looks like we can only go back to the beginning of the 395/1-25 pages list to check for new clicks and then add them to a Welcome list. :/
Not going to happen.
There are maddeningly basic management features absent from Promote that is making it TOO COMPLICATED and IMPOSSIBLE to manage our list and get emails sent out, make our granola (hours spent trying to figure this out are too many by a long shot) and make sales. Which is what Weebly is about, no?
2. At this point, inside of Contacts, it's only possible to ADD a contact into a Group
PROBLEM: There is no way to DELETE a contact from a Group inside of Contacts so one can funnel Contacts into more manageable Groups as they double opt-in.
PROBLEM: We have to truck all the way into Groups and DELETE the Contacts INDIVIDUALLY there. Then BACK to Contacts for another individual Contact to truck all the way BACK to Groups to delete them.... each time for 9,000+ Contacts? Insanity.
PROBLEM: This is going to take FOREVER!!!
SO, trying to work around on our end. . .
3. Promote has very poor CSV reporting for Sent emails
PROBLEM: The only CSV report available in Sent has only a few general stats, NO CONTACTS! Or the individual actions they took!!!
Out of 8,000+ double-opt-in emails sent, we are approaching a 50% click rate
And we have yet to send ANY Welcome thank you for opting in email with more requested information about our snacks. We have literally been able to do NOTHING with Promote since April 7!!!
PROBLEM: In Sent I can choose to see who has subscribed etc, but there's no way to get them into CVS??
PROBLEM: Even with work arounds this is going to take FOREVER!!!
4. Although I can see who opted in in Sent, there's no way to manage individual Contacts from Sent. You can't even click on names. You have to truck all the way over BACK to individual Contacts, search for them individually and manage them from Contacts to add them to a new "Officially Opted In" Group, and even there you can't delete a Contact from any other Groups. Again, you have to truck all the way back over to Groups to delete a Contact from a Group.
5. Promote has very poor CSV reporting for Groups. We have 19 Groups based on the form they filled out and the comments they made. We are trying to drill down to no more than 7 Groups, but obviously with these issues we are at a standstill.
PROMLEM: There is NO CSV segmenting of opens, click, unsubscribes so I have no idea whose done what except from the Sent dashboard, again with the only option to somehow document each individual contact maually depending on their status, because there are NO detailed CSV reports I can even import into my own organizing system so I can re-upload them to Weebly in an organzed fashion. Back to page 395. Or Sent. Or Groups. Or Contacts.
PROBLEM: As noted, CSV download in Sent is also non-existant or useless
PROBLEM: Promote is not loading from my Weebly dashbaord at the moment (504 gateway error)
PROBLEM: It has loaded now, BUT....
Although we've (regrettably, but with neccesity) stopped the flow, we are still getting over 100 sign-ups a day, and since Weebly offers no automated double-opt in option when a form is sent out, we can do NOTHING until this is figured out.
Besides, we only get 20 emails a month, so we're sending them out in the 2,500 allowable lumps and our payment cycle start again in five days and we've been sitting here dearly hoping for any updates.
All these problems and more, but these are the real biggies that have absolutely stopped us in our tracks from using Promote. These people are waiting for double-opt-in emails and follow-ups and snacks, but we are sitting here anxiously twiddling our thumbs with empty wallets, forced to scour original forms for useful interested buyer comments so we can contact them from gmail.
??? WORK AROUND:
Our list is simply too big and CSV work arounds are impossible because Weebly reporting on actual actions, instead of only original list data, is, well....
So now what?
From our end we are staring into a a very healthy list that goes colder every day we let it sit. If these simple issues are fixed, we can actually use Promote instead of just paying for it.
Come on, Weebly? How 'bout it !??!
Right now, with the clock ticking, waiting for Promote "updates", we have no idea if these issues can be fixed tomorrow, in days or should we just hopefully pray into space.
At this moment, with hopes still high, Promote is a waste.

While going through the Promote section of Weebly it is nice that you can schedule an email to go out, and that your contacts from your website automatically get put into categories and your contact list. I think it would make for an awesome CRM if you were able to make it so contacts can be sent emails depending on their actions and timing. If you could build email campaigns. For example with our website we have a metal conditoner that gets put in every oil change. So if I could set it up so certain people who have checked that they liked to know more about automobiles could get an email every 3 months reminding them they have a oil change coming soon. Thats just one example but hopefully you get the idea. Please further elaborate on this, but I would love to see something like that on here.

I think Weebly is a great CMS platform - very user friendly. It would be really good to see Promote upgraded as a highly functioning, integrated emailer solution (which I believe the Weebly team are currently working on). Just a few suggestions that I think would make life a whole lot easier for all of us emarketers out there...
The ability to see more than 25 contacts at a time
When editing contacts, to not be sent straight back to the top of your contact list on the first page again (essential when working with database numbers of 5,000+)
Additional column headers, such as 'Groups', 'Location' etc
An easier option to delete contacts associated with undeliverable emails. To the best of my knowledge this can only be done by searching for these contacts individually. Given the size of our databases and the amount of changes made to email addresses, as well as staff moving to other businesses - this is VERY time consuming.
More design and editing functionality within the emailer
If some of these functions/options already exist and I just haven't discovered them, please feel free to let me know :-)

I used Weebly Promote last week and spent WAYYYY too much time and energy trying to upload the CSV file.
My suggestions include:
the ability to upload an xls file instead
a statement SOMEWHERE saying that Row #1 MUST be exactly as shown in the example AFTER your upload fails.
I am a long time Constant Contact user and you can upload an Excel file and once the column is uploaded you get to pick what you want to call it.
Send a memo to CS telling them that Row #1 must be exactly as shown in the example. I only use email addresses so tried tens of times to upload the file using only email addresses and that title at the top on Row 1 and just kept getting an error. Finally, one CS fellow figured out what the problem was...
