The caption feature in mobile mode of the slideshow overlays itself and renders the image unviewable. The only way I've come to view the images is clicking the image it brings up a sliding gallery of all of the pictures full screen which is counterintuitive and takes a motivated person to figure out. Could we get an option to adjust the caption position in mobile mode slideshow galleries (and in web view, a large caption will sit on the bottom edge of an image)?
Bianca G: great thanks, let me get your account pulled up here
hmm what's the site you're working on? i'm actually seeing that this account hasn't been logged into since 2015 so i want to be sure i'm looking at the right one!
Bianca G: that looks like it's probably the right one which site are you working on?
Bianca G: alrighty i'm looking at that site now. i see a slideshow on the Getting Ready page, is that where you are?
Me: Yes. If you notice, the grey bay the text is on is too big and cuts off people's faces.
Bianca G: ok i see what you're saying - let me take just a minute or two to play with the settings to see what we can do here
Bianca G: you're welcome
Me: It would maybe be even better if the bar didnt go all the way across.. maybe just highliting the words? although I dont know how that might look.
Bianca G: alrighty so that bar will be there for any photos that you've added a caption to. you can switch that to display on the bottom of the photo if you'd like - if you'd like to switch that, you'd just click into the slideshow and you'll see an option that says Caption Location, and you can just click that to switch it to Bottom
unfortunately the slideshow doesn't allow any other options for customizing that bar/caption area, so you would only be able to choose to have that either at the top or the bottom
Me: It looks like I can do that for ALL of them, but not selected ones. I noticed as someone was going through the website that they didn't see the inital caption when it was at the bottom, that is why I moved it to the top.
Bianca G: that's correct - when you set the caption at the bottom or the top, it sets it that way for all the photos. unfortunately there's not a way to pick and choose which one has the caption at the bottom and which one has it at the top. what i meant earlier was that if your image doesn't have a caption you won't see that gray bar at all
Me: I am aware of that. Did you see that I made the text smaller? Don't you think the bar should fit the text? it is 3x bigger.
or even better, but it above, not on the pic.
also, can I make it so people can click and expand the photo to see it without the caption?
Bianca G: i agree with you that the bar should adjust to fit the size of the text that's been added in, but unfortunately that's not how the slideshow feature works that's definitely a limitation to this feature - i would encourage you to share your feedback over at community.weebly.com/t5/Vote-o... to let our developers know that you want this fixed so we can make that happen
Me: Can you share that? I don't really want to take the time to fix your site... I mean, now I need to get rig of this slide show and start from scratch... use the gallery and re- do all the captions!!!

Any idea if Weebly is going to come up with a customisable slide show? Was hoping to see it in Weebly 4. It would also be great if it come with customisable captions. The current slide show is too big and a bit of a dog. Lots of people say the same thing. This is a big deal and we really need it

Want a more customized slideshow interface? Maybe you want to publish a webcomic and the current layout or avaliable element just doesn't cut it for you. This app will allow for all this and more! With it's high versatility, this app is sure to please.

Please add image slideshow option to headers of responsive theme designs. The only theme that allows an image slide show is Lucent (to my knowledge) but it would be great if all themes would allow this. Currently, I create a video of the image slideshow and use the video function but that does not allow the user to click to navigate from one slide to the text AND the video headers do not work on mobile devices, whereas an html/css image slideshow like the one in the Lucent theme does.

The current Slideshow availability on Weebly offers only a pic/photo content of the slideshow.
An app that offers a Slideshow that you'll have the ability to add ANY type of content within it (text, buttons, youtube vids, etc) would be more useful. Many websites offer similar functionality in their slideshows, but I can't find it on Weebly anywhere..

I would love to be able to add a slideshow to my homepage that features products on my site and have each image link to a different product page. If there's some way to do that already, I haven't figured it out.
