We do a lot of business with school districts and churches, which are all tax exempt. There needs to be a feature to check a box and input tax exempt ID in order to remove taxes from checkout. I am losing sales because customers are reluctant to go through the process of contacting us to refund the taxes. This is affecting our business and needs to be resolved as soon as possible.

Our business is located on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. The tax rate for our island is 4.712% but Weebly only allows you to edit the Tax Rate field to two decimal points, so I can only input in 4.71%. We need this fixed, otherwise we are going to have to use another website development platform.

The state I operate in charges sales tax, as does each county. I've started entering in the zip codes for my state one-by-one and it is taking forever. The nice thing is that it appears that Weebly uses the appropriate tax rate once you enter the zip code. It would be REALLY nice if I selected "state" and all zip codes and sales tax rates for that state and county populated! Thanks for your consideration.
It could be really handy to have more granularity over what is displayed on product pages. For example, options to hide or show the price (or even have alternative text shown, e.g. "call for price"), display tax and shipping cost for that item, etc.

It is great that Weebly now allows you to show prices including VAT and then specifies the VAT part of the price at checkout.
Only one thing: We'll be selling goods that sort into two different VAT rate categories in the same country. I don't think this is a unique challenge. In our case we'll be selling food stuff which has one VAT rate and various other goods that have a different VAT rate.
To accommodate this, Weebly would have to allow for multiple tax rates for one country and then let you choose which rate to apply to a product/service.
Selling goods in multiple VAT categories? -then give this your upvote!

Please consider having a way to make a resale customer tax exempt.
I am easily able to make an individual coupon for each resale customer with their level of discount. This is great. But there is no way for me to make them tax exempt. this means that they have to pay their purchase price along with state sales tax, then once I see their order, I have to refund the sales tax. This is a backwards approach and some customers dislike having to pay the tax then waiting for a refund to go through. This also looks unprofessional.
My thinking is since the site already has the code to make individual products taxable or not taxable with a check mark, that maybe it won't be very difficult to link a checkmark like that to individual coupons when one sets them up for individual customers?
Please vote for this- any of you that get approached for resale opportunities would be thankful to have this professional and timesaving feature built in.

Can a system be created where users can make accounts on our website and us have access to payment options for them specifically i want to turn off sales tax for customers who have provided california resale certificates.. This is a huge portion of our customers and we really need this feature.
It would be nice to have a main destination based sales tax automatic rate for the US, but also as you enter an item, be able to select it as non-taxable with a simple check box - as services such as a class need to be included in my shop and they are non-taxable. It makes it awkward to have it show up as taxable and then refund the student. Same with products - I basically loose 10 % if I setup my website with a universale no sales tax rate.

(As background info: We set our VAT at 0%, which in theory is not true as the 20% VAT has been included into the final price), because at the moment, when customers are on the shopping page, they see the final price per product. Seeing the final price at the shopping page is important for customers who are not VAT registered as they do not want the VAT shock upon checkout.
If we were to set the VAT at 20% on the weebly system, all the prices on the shopping page has to exclude VAT (most inconvenient to customers who now have to guess what their shopping total will come to).
Showing prices exclusive of VAT is helpful only to those customers who are VAT registered (as they can reclaim their VAT). BUT the majority of customers are individuals who cannot reclaim VAT.
It would be most useful to show the total price on the shopping page, which corresponds to the same price on the checkout page. One line to subtract VAT (handy for those who can claim their VAT back), and the total again once postage was added.
That way we can print out the correct delivery note, both VAT registered and non-VAT registered customers benefit and we all will look more professional.
Hello to all the Weebly community notice to all those who have a web store, I wanted to include the 10% VAT on food and that of 20% on alcoholic beverages: it is the law in France. But Weebly offers only include VAT by region and country. If you are in the same situation as us, vote to maximum as it is established. (I put the message in french also for users of other countries in the same case)

My company site "Gatewayaircenter.com" sell's a lot of aircraft parts that go to authorized resellers who we have collected the necessary tax exempt forms from. It would be a great idea and success with my company and customers if we implemented a way to create an account and login in and from there the site owner could modify each customers account
making them tax exempt on purchases, add notes, give credit ect..

Certain main product groups/categories may have different VAT tax rates. Currently I can only set one VAT tax rate, which means I have to limit my online store product selection to categories that have the same VAT rate. So basically I should be able to determine the tax rate depending on the product (most flexible) or cateogry.

An option in the tax set-up so that you can choose if the tax applies to the buyer address or the ship-to address. Currently it is set up to the shipping address. This does not work for the 12 states that are ORIGIN based for taxes. I need to be able to apply the tax to the buyer address, not the ship-to address. This is a matter of properly collecting and recording taxes and should be a major priority so that all weebly users can choose the option they need for their particular state.

Can you all add the option to have coupons applied pre-tax? We do not consider coupons as cash tendered towards the total amount. Allowing coupons to be applied pre-tax would accommodate this style of accounting and would not result in customers being overtaxed on each transaction.

We have zip codes now for incorporated cities, but for us businesses living in counties that have a different tax rate than cities please we need to be able to select our county. When Weebly updated the site to go from manual inputs for taxes (which I had and it was correct) to the zip code listing by cities for a state- the weebly system overrode manual inputs and began charging just the state tax base- NOT the extra for your county or city area. We were not sent an email letting us know about the new update to let us know to check this to be sure the inputs for our businesses were still correct. I recommend any changes in the future that may update or change tax features be sent in an email with links to make it easy to find and check.
Weebly had been charging the wrong sales tax for my area (and likely others). Any audit by the state could get businesses in trouble that are relying on Weebly's currentl program to calculate tax. That could create a liability issue for Weebly with businesses whose tax has been incorrect. Please correct this ASAP.

In France there are different taxes depending on the product, it would be nice to choose the tax depending on the product in addition to the place. I think all of Weebly users in France will be glade to see this possibility.
