Weebly is great but would be better with an undo, redo, history feature.

We love the color blocks but they are not as "fancy" as we need. We NEED the same functionality of the color blocks, with use as an image. So that text could be overlaid simply, not as a background. We want this feature!! 9r9g9g9900.png

You could do this with Sections, although it'll fill the content area and not be like an image element:

Please include the features of the old image editor in the updated one

When the people at Weebly updated the image editor, they dropped the option of adding and layering extra images in the image editor. This means in my case that I have to prepare my images in Photoshop before uploading, which takes extra time, and can only be done when I'm editing with my PC.

Athough the old image editor was a bit slow, it had much better features: a larger 'canvas'; the ability to resize images, and the ability to upload and layer multiple images to create new pictures.

Please add these really convenient features back into the image editor.

Website Features

Kindly consider the following suggestion, as these are very important while creating good looking website.

1. Add animations of various objects.

2. Header sliders should be incorporated.

3. headers should not be fixed and should be open for editing (images, texts, slideshows etc. on the header)

4. Button color can be chosen.

5. Allow Anchors and anchor texts so that a link could be created for a particular object located on the page. All other website creation platform like WIX and WORDPRESS etc provide this feature.

Customizing Checkout Experience To Our Own Preferences!

Status: New Idea
by localtrends on ‎05-18-2016 09:09 AM - last edited on ‎05-18-2016 10:11 AM by Employee Moderator

It would be great if we can customize our checkout fields to the way we want just like the contact forms and survey form elements. For instance, there are some fields that come by default such as Region and Zip which are pretty lame and unwanted for me, and so I would like to remove them from letting the user enter such information as they won't benefit me at all. Nevertheless, we should have the ability to also insert as many fields as we like in case there are some mandatory fields not placed in the default checkout. Furthermore, it would also be nice if we can have a tick box below the fields that states the user to save his/her credentials locally on their PC the next time they come to checkout so that they won't need to retype everything again. It would surely bring better sales for my business for minimizing and reducing the hassles. Last but not least, it would be super great if we can specify different rates for different shipping method services, ex: the user selects/picks from a drop-down "Express Shipping / Standard Shipping / Royal Shipping / Same-Day Shipping / International Shipping, and so on..." We can define these names to our own liking as well as set different charge fees for each. Well, nough said. If I had missed anything, then don't hesitate to comment below. All feedback is much appreciated. Smiley Wink

Newly added items to top of category

Status: New Idea
by Dot_Minnies a month ago - last edited 4 weeks ago by Community Manager

We're putting many hours in to adding new items to our site, but the newly added ones go to the bottom of the list in each category so we spend a lot more time going through each category and dragging the new ones to the top.  If the new ones went to the top instead of the bottom, it would save us a ton of time.  Thanks!

More data on web statistics

Status: New Idea
by nicklazar on ‎02-27-2017 07:04 AM - last edited on ‎02-27-2017 12:45 PM by Community Manager

Hi guys,

Our website is for a non-profit that offers free ebooks to our community. Therefore one of our performance indicators associated with the website is how many times the ebook files have been downloaded.

Therefore, the idea I want to propose to Weebly is to develop more on the website statistics so that we could get more information. Previously, our website was managed in Cpanel, and the statistics were much more useful than here (latest visits, geographical location of visitors, how many times each page was visited, how many times a file posted on the website was downloaded etc). I'd love to see these things considered by Weebly in a future update.

Thanks for your VOTES, guys!

Better hierarchical format for creating a site with many pages

by NBH on ‎12-19-2016 11:49 AM - last edited on ‎12-19-2016 12:23 PM by Community Manager

I have a site with hundreds of pages, and every time I create a new page I have to drag it to where it needs to go. It would be nice to have a better hierarchical format to make this easier. The ability to expand and collapse would be so helpful!

have more than 30 days of stats for visitors so you know if your site is tanking or expanding its user base. This is basic stuff people please upvote.

Undo Button

Status: We're Working on It.
by mandismuses on ‎02-26-2016 10:29 PM

I love that Weebly saves automatically, because it helps if the computer shuts down, we lose power, I'm being blonde and click the wrong thing, etc. However, sometimes you do something and then want to smack yourself because you screwed something up. It'd be so awesome to have "save points" or an "Undo" button, to where you can make or undo changes until you hit that big 'ol publish button, then it flushes the save points. This way, even if something does happen, computer shuts down, whatever, if you haven't clicked "publish", you know the site saved a few save points up till that point, so you wouldn't worry so much if you clicked the wrong thing right before the apocalypse happened and you broke something Smiley Happy

Parallax scrolling for video headers and sections

Status: New Idea
by southtexasmike on ‎03-14-2017 11:40 AM - last edited on ‎03-15-2017 12:12 PM by Community Manager

Hi,

I notice that when a header or section has a video background, the only available scrolling effects are "none" and "reveal".

Other hosts (who don't do responsive nearly as well as Weebly) already support parallax scrolling in front of video backgrounds, and we'd really like this for two of our pages.

Can Weebly make this available, pretty please?

Search Feature Needs To Recognize Partial Numbers

Status: New Idea
by Dispensinglink 3 weeks ago - last edited 3 weeks ago by Community Manager

If you don't have the entire exact SKU number (or other examples) the search has a hard time finding it.

For example, I have a couple of products that begin with "APMF" in the SKU. In this example,  I try to search for one "APMF149PKG".

If I search "APMF" it says nothing found.

If I search "APMF149" I see a similar product "APMF159PKG" come up - but not the "APMF149PKG".

It isn't until I search "APMF149PKG" that it comes up. And only then do I start to see all of the "APMF" part numbers come up in the results.

A search of "APMF" really should spit out all the SKUs I have that start with or contain "APMF" every time, shouldn't it?

Thanks Weebly!

Credit Card / Chrome Compatiblity

Status: New Idea
by sammansen a week ago - last edited a week ago by Community Manager

Received this feedback below from one of our customers:

"The credit card form is not compatible with Chrome's auto fill that is silly.

Most of the stuff I buy small websites rather than amazon and co is because Chromes makes it painless to fill address and credit card info.

Removing the default value which is filled with "0000" could fix that."

Store Configuration

I would like to recommend that you include Colombian pesos in the store. We have been using Weebly for our website for more than 4 years, now we need to use the store. Thanks,

HTTPS should be free for all sites

by MarijkeD on ‎01-24-2017 11:53 AM - last edited on ‎01-24-2017 12:31 PM by Community Manager

To rank higher on google, HTTPS (secure site) is a must. Other website builders such as Jimdo now offer this free for every level of their paid subscription sites. (see: https://www.jimdo.com/2016/12/13/stay-secure-with-https-on-your-website/)

When is Weebly planning to do this? If not soon, a lot of people will go to other providers!

Choose a button color of your liking

It would be great, if we could change the color of the buttons to any of our choosing, without having to code it.

Loyalty Rewards (Ecommerce)

Status: New Idea
by ICED on ‎03-23-2017 11:45 AM - last edited on ‎03-23-2017 12:11 PM by Community Manager

i think it would be great if Weebly either came out with or got an app for a loyalty reward program.

The loyalty reward program could work that costumers can log into an account and when they purchase products they get points. At some point the customer will be able to pick rewards that the editor of the site can set.

I have been trying to attract more customers to my website, and I think this could be a real boost for the small businesses that are using weebly like my business. (My small business is a personalized stationery business where I draw all the designs myself. You can check it out at justlabelit.com if you want a better idea of what I mean).

Page moves between sites on an account

Status: New Idea
by Rx 4 weeks ago - last edited 3 weeks ago by Community Manager

I have multiple sites on my account. Sometimes I create pages that I'd like to duplicate on other sites, but there is no feature to move or copy pages from one site to another, as you can do within a single site. I love that feature in general, but this would be extremely time saving if I could just copy a page (that I've spent a lot of time on) to another one of my sites so that I don't have to be redundant with my efforts and time.
