Google has a lot of ways to check if your site is relevant to the keywords that users are searching with. One of these ways is to check the URL path of images. For example, when a page would be www.example.com/candle.jpg, the image "candle" would appear in google images and also Google recognises this page "example.com" does something with candles, and therefore the pageranking will increase on the word "candle".
When you upload an image to your Weebly page, Weebly changes the name of the image you're uploading. So when I upload an image with the name "Candle.jpg", Weebly changes this to for eaxmple "2373015_orig.jpg". This is not the most optimal thing for SEO. Allthough it's possible to change the ALT tag of the image (you can make ALT="Candle"), it would be much better if the filename itself would be candle.jpg as well. This would realy fill google images with your images.
So for the best ranking in search engines it is absolutely necessary to be able to control the name of the images. I sugest Weebly is making it possible to control the filename for a better SEO!
It would be GREAT to have a NEW element that would make a full screen section and allow us to control the background as a solid color, as an image, or as a transparent piece. Then allow us to drag other elements inside this as needed. Having control of the element section padding would be the topper. here are some samples of what i am mentioning
Here is a sample - it goes from the main wrap with 3 columns- to a full screen semi transparent with BG image and allows for other elements to be added in....
Thank you for your consideration on this one and i hope it gets a LOT of votes. This is a HUGE difference with Wordpress and would once again level the playing field if we had this valuable feature.- Thank you for your consideration- Jim Beck

It would be great to be able to add our logo to the confirmation emails that are generated from the webstore. Seems odd that we have a beautiful website and when the customer purchases something they get a VERY boring order and download confirmation.
As a small nonprofit organization, we need our email marketing tool to serve also as a database for our contacts. When we enter information for a contact (email address, physical address, phone number, birthday, notes, etc.) we want to be able to export all that data into a single spreadsheet to share with other volunteers, to keep records, and to occasionally send physical mail to our donors.
The current "Export Contacts" button in Weebly Promote includes only a few of the fields about each contact. If we could export complete data for our contacts, we would use Weebly Promotefor our email marketing.
Please add drag and drop ordering in galleries. If I want to replace a picture, I have to delete it and the new picture is added as the last one. The ordering of my gallery picture which I use as links is important. Also make sure feature keeps the caption and link of the replaced picture for reduced re-entry effort.

I'm not sure why Weebly doesn't have this already and I tend to regard the omission as a major oversight considering your competitors wix and foursquare do offer it: Video background on a loop. When we want to change our images for the background, allow videos with some free and some we can buy, just like the images. simple. all the latest sites show this. looks awesome. Trust me, you're losing customers over this.
It would be very helpful if the photos in the gallery could be ordered New-to-Old instead of Old-to-New. It is pretty basic to want the newer photos to be at the top and therefore more visible than the old ones. If there could be a choice in the Advanced settings to order them either way, that would be ideal. Thank you!
It would be great to have a Page Type in Weebly that, when selected, creates a page link in the navigation menu that does nothing when clicked or hovered over apart from display a drop down list of all its sub pages. There are many occasions where this type of page is required. For example, let's say you want to create a top level Menu page called "Videos" which has the following sub pages: Horror, Sci-Fi, Westerns etc. When a user clicks on "Videos" from the Menu, rather than going to a Videos HTML page it simply displays the list of sub pages for you to select from.
Presently, there is no way to to create this effect in Weebly. The main use of this feature would be to create a "Catagory" header in the main navigation menu which goes nowhere if clicked but automatically lists its sub-pages when clicked or hovered over.
An option for the customer to recover a deleted/abandoned shopping cart. This could be in the form of an automated email to ask why they abandoned their purchase and even to offer them an automated emailed discount code if they decide to go back and buy.

I am new to Weebly, as a first time user I think it's awesome but the element menu is not very tidy.
i think it would be better to use a vertical navigation menu instead of having all the elements in individual boxes with the image on top. This just takes up too much space.
You should have a vertical navigation menu where the buttons have the picture to the left and the name of the element next to it.
I also find it difficult to know what apps are made by Weebly or a third party. For example, I read online that Weebly Carbon is the new platform and has 9 new elements (Which is what got me onto trying Weebly out). You have to go and find these new elements (should be easy but it's not) and when you do find them and add them they get added in the third party category.
You should also have some better categories to help us out-
Made by Weebly Apps
Most Popular Apps
This is only going to get worse while more apps are added by third parties making it harder for your novice users (like me) to use Weebly to it's full potential.

Editing products through the weebly edit interface is fine if you are just making a change to one product. However, if you wanted to make a change affecting multiple products e.g. to slash prices on all 25 items in a certain category, that would be time consuming, error prone and tedious.
My idea is to add the ability to download the entire product list to a CSV file on your local computer. Then, you could easily edit your product prices, descriptions, etc. in MS Excel or Notepad. When you were done editing, you could quickly and easily upload them back into your weebly store using the "Upload from Anywhere" feature.

As a website designer, I want Non Clickable Menu's to not be made witha blank page.
Currently, you can make the non clickable menu dropdown and it can't be clicked on, however, a working blank page also gets created. If wecreate a Non Clickable Menu named Example, a website/example page also gets created. This means a visitor can stumble upon a blank page on our website through URL. There's not much we can really do about it, besides removing the non clickable menu altogether.
I would like to have the option for custom text fields of which we can have control of character count limitations and be able to up charge for it, also the ability to upload an image that can be associated to a particular product sold.
Right now the Weebly E-Commerce integration offers you the ability to set price and weigt shipping options by country and sub-region if you are subscribed to the Business Plan.
My experience so far with Shipping Methods is this:
There is no way to exclude countries that you don't want to ship to
If you set different pricing for a country's sub regions, the sub-regions selected for a particular shipping option do not appear as a drop down list for the user when checking out. Instead, the user must input the abbreviated name of the region/state in capitals.
In the case of Australia, instead of Queensland, you have to know to type in "QLD" in caps for it to trigger the change in the shipping option price for that region, entering "qld" won't work. How would the user ever know to do this ? It needs to be a drop down list which can be made to be mandatory so that the customer is given the correct region shipping price.
The ability to change the name of the "Region" field to reflect the correct name for that country is also needed. As an example, in Australia, we have "States", not regions, customers are confused as to what should be entered into the "region" field on checkout, particularly as it is just a blank text field and not a drop down list populated by the regions you have set up in the shipping methods.
You can only set a shipping option by price or weight, not both. So if you want to offer free shipping for purchasing over a certain amount you can do that, but if the items are heavy your shipping may cost a fortune, so without being able to set an option based on price as well as weight range you are in trouble.Weebly, please offer shipping methods by both criteria!
