Great idea! I was thinking something a long the same lines. As it stands now, if you click your avatar up in the top right corner, you'll see that looks like this:

That does a pretty good job at letting you know what's up in the community regarding your posts/etc, but maybe one day it can look something like:

Which flows a little more nicely and lets you know at a glance how many notifications you have, kind of like an iOS or Android app in a way.
