How do I place a temporary sign on the face of my Website that says something like: Temporarily Closed. Open Again On May 30, or words to that effect.

I want the notice on the homepage only.
Ok. It's probably easiest to just add that as regular text to the header section of the site, that way it's right at the top in large text whenever someone visits your site.
