Lost theme and pictures

Hi! Hoping someone can help!

I started a website over a year ago. I left it and have returned to it. I mistakenly clicked change theme, thinking I could change the look for one particular page, but the entire page changed. Now I cannot undo this as the theme and pictures I had uploaded are nowhere to be found. Have checked under "recently used" tab as well as the old theme section.

Am I just out of luck and needing to rebuild?

I'm just going to cut my losses and start afresh
