So why would I need Adsense or AdWords? I mean can’t I just create my own ad and put it on my website using no ad services? Just do it myself and type “this is an ad” or something above it and insert my referral/Affilliate link in the ad? Is this ok to do and why would I do or not do this?
You don't need to use those if you don't want to. We provide an Adsense element because it's one of the most common types of advertising people use, but you're welcome to use other services if you want.
